By the end of this webinar participants will be able to: 

1. To discuss why biting in group care is unfortunately, not unexpected.  

1. To name environmental, sensory, and developmental factors that might lead to biting. 

1. To list possible prevention steps for a child who is about to bite.  

1. To list action steps if a bite occurs.  

1. To identify prevention roles and strategies for educators when a child gets stuck using biting to meet needs. 

1. To recognize the value of developing and communicating a biting policy to share with families on enrollment.
