This training was developed in partnership between Autism Nova Scotia and NSCECE with financial support from the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD).
In this seminar, you will learn about autism through a deeper exploration of key concepts, including key terms and inclusive language, what autism is and how it presents across individuals, common characteristics and differences, strengths and challenges, and collaborative approach in supporting families and children.
The training consists of three parts.
Part 1: Exploring Autism and Nova Scotia Support Services for
Preschool Children
Part 2: Exploring Autism, play and building rapport
Part 3: Exploring Autism and supporting transitions
The seminar is presented by Haley Lundy, a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst and Supervisor at QuickStart NS Services with Autism Nova Scotia.

For over a decade, Haley has been supporting neurodiverse children and youth in homes, schools and community settings. Haley has
a passion for using naturalistic teaching focusing on teaching essential skills that will help children and youth increase quality of life across their lifespan.
