Learning with Mi'kma'ki is a new professional development opportunity for early childhood professionals in Nova Scotia. The 6-hour course is focused on learn to see the land and the natural environment through the Mi'kmaw lens and discover how to apply Two-Eyed Seeing to your ECE practice.
Saturday, June 15th, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The first 3 hours of the session will be held in the classroom at NSCECE (6208 Quinpool Rd. 2nd Floor, Halifax, NS) and the final 3 hours will be held in Point Pleasant Park.
Each participant will have a chance to win a prize: a book Mi’kmaw Moons, the Seasons in Mi'kma'ki,
by Cathy LeBlanc and David Chapman illustrated by Loretta Gould that describes traditional teachings about the moon cycles and their relation to the natural history of Mi’kma’ki on Canada’s East Coast.
