NEW! FREE PD Module in FRENCH: Soins de qualité pour bébés (Module 1 de 2ā)
This training in French language was developed by DEECD in partnership with EYCDC (NSCECE) to support the implementation of the Infant Quality Care Grant in the Acadian and Francophone communities. Click here to register.
Beginning April, 2024, Educators and Care Providers can access Infant Quality Care – Module 1 of 2 (Soins de qualité pour bébés – Module 1 de 2ā) in both languages, ENGLISH and FRENCH, via the link below:

On-Demand Professional Development
Now that spring has finally arrived it's the perfect time to check out Gardening with Young Children, facilitated by the EYCDC's own Olha Khaperska. This PD is 1.5 hours and covers the importance of gardening, how to create your own budget-friendly garden, and how to understand gardening in connection with Nova Scotia's Early Learning Curriculum Framework.

To take this learning and implement it in your classroom, stop by and borrow a brand new Gardening Kit. The info cards will help new gardeners (and people new to the province) to learn about specifics of gardening in Nova Scotia, and the children will have fun using those gardening tools!
Recruiting New Facilitators
Have you gained skills and experience in the early childhood education and ready to step into the facilitator's role to inspire and encourage adults who work with children? If you have skills, success stories, and enjoy facilitating discussions and presenting to adult learners, let us know! Please fill out the form and tell us more about yourself. We are currently looking for facilitators who are willing to work directly with centres and deliver workshops on the topics of interest. 
Library
Lights, camera, action! We've had a busy month on the EYCDC Library between visits from preschool classrooms, a college-wide Open House, and filming for an upcoming culture-related seminar, which we will share soon. While we wait for the release of the final project, we recommend checking out our Gaelic Collection š.
New items are arriving all the time as we work with community members to build our Mi'kmaw/L'nu Cultural Heritage Collection. Here are a few of the newest titles to join our collection:
