EYCDC November 2025 Newsletter

The new Framework books are available in print!

We are delighted to see the Nova Scotia's Early Learning Curriculum Framework books being printed and distributed to child care centres. If you work in the regulated sector, you should now have your own copy to use!

As the new Framework gets implemented in practice, we invite you to keep an eye on the updated Framework modules as they are becoming available starting in January 2026. The modules are delivered online by Support Sites throughout the province. They are free to attend, but you will need to sign up for them. Follow our Eventbrite page to stay informed of the new trainings being posted for the EYCDC support site, as they fill up fast!

November 20th: National Child's Day in Canada and World Children’s Day globally

On this day, we commemorate two UN documents: the Declaration of the Rights of the Child (1959) and the Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989). The day promotes and protects children's rights, aiming to ensure they have the opportunity to grow, be safe, and reach their full potential. The UNICEF calls us to 'Listen to children, stand up for the rights of every child, every day.'

Here is the link to the child-friendly text of the Convention and the printable poster
